Before Chevelle achieved international multi-platinum heights following their major label debut, the Chicago-based rockers released Point #1 with the contemporary Christian music label Squint in 1999.

Produced by the legendary Steve Albini, Point #1's indie rock sound is a noted outlier from the following albums that would soon propel the band to mainstream success.
