David "Fathead" Newman - Return To The Wide Open Spaces LP

David "Fathead" Newman, Ellis Marsalis, and Cornell Dupree, along with James Clay, Leroy Cooper, Dennis Dotson, Chuck Rainey, and George Rains join forces on this live recording combining elements of jazz and R&B indigenous to Texas. Recorded at the Caravan of Dreams in Ft. Worth, Texas and originally released Oct. 1, 1990 on Amazing Records, the record won the NAIRD award for Traditional Jazz Album of the Year in 1991.

Originally released only on CD and cassette, Return to the Wide Open Spaces has never enjoyed a vinyl release until now.
