Gloria Jones, the "Queen of Northern Soul", might be most famous for recording the original version of "Tainted Love", the Northern Soul classic popularized by Soft Cell. Inspired by her relationship with T. Rex's Marc Bolan, Vixen, featuring "Tainted Love" and the two-part rendering of the T. Rex classic "Get It On".
