Two of the most revered blues pianist/vocalists of the 1940s, '50s, and '60s, Tennessee native John Len Chatman, better known as Memphis Slim, and the Baron of Boogie, Ivory Joe Hunter, are featured on this classic recording. Slim is represented here during his later expatriate days in France circa mid 1960's, performing "Blue Blues," "Cold Blooded Woman," "It's Been Too Long" and "I'm Lost Without You". The Ivory Joe Hunter tracks are from sessions dating to 1957, shortly after he gained worldwide recognition for his first big hit, "Since I Met You Baby". Tracks featured from Ivory Joe are "If You Want My Love," "In Memories," "If You Were My Own," "How About Me," "I'm Cuttin' Out" and "I Need You So". There's a nice juxtaposition of styles going on here from two of the most revered figures of piano blues. All selections newly remastered.
