Lady Lamb the Beekeeper - After [CD]

“After” is the second proper Lady Lamb album, following 2013’s “Ripley Pine” which established the Portland Maine-bred Brooklyn-based Aly Spaltro as an exciting new voice in indie rock. Spaltro began recording and making music as Lady Lamb from a video store basement after hours and distributed handmade recordings to local record stores. Lady Lamb’s debut on Brooklyn indie Ba Da Bing drew praise from Paste, Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound, and NPR’s All Things Considered. On the strength of touring with the likes of Typhoon, Beirut, Sharon Van Etten and Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Ripley Pine sold over 9,000 copies. “After” is her Mom+Pop debut, and features the lead single Billions of Eyes”, which hints at Spaltro and the band’s evolution. “Billions of Eyes” will impact at radio in January and Lady Lamb’s 2015 will be busy with extensive touring.
