Murky Red is a Belgian-based rock band founded in 2009, blending elements of classic rock, prog rock, blues, stoner, in their music. Their style could be described as the love child of Deep Floyd, The Black Doors, and Led Sabbath, with Slayer and Monty Python acting as their playful inspirations. Long Time No See is an 8-track album and the third full-length release by Murky Red since their 2012 debut. Helmed by founding member Stef Flaming, the project has evolved through various incarnations, from a live band to a more focused studio endeavor. This new album features the previously released single No Woman, Pineapple Sweet and the upcoming single and video Through the Chapel and the Cornrows. Also featured is The Maestro's Shadow, a heartfelt tribute to the late Colin Tench, co-written by Flaming and his Transmission Rails collaborator, John Moulder. Another notable highlight is a first for the band: a fresh take on Riders on the Storm, the iconic 1971 track by The Doors, reimagined in Murky Red's unique style.
